Mars Venus At Work

THE EXPERTS AT EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
Interpersonal - Diversity - Creativity - Leadership

Thank you very much for your presentations at the Alabama AGD meeting at the Sandestine Beach Resort. I think the true test of a speaker’s ability is to hold the audience’s attention on a gorgeous afternoon at the beach and not have one person sneak off for some R and R. And, that is exactly what you did. We hope to see you back real soon.

Quantitave & Qualitative Analysis
of the Effectiveness of
Mars Venus Workplace Seminars

On this page we have included both group statistics as well specific comments of men and women regarding how the workshop was valuable to them.

The following table shows our outcome statistics to-date based on reports of attendees after workshops. As you will see attendees reported that they did learn important information that can make a difference in your workplace environment.

  Male Female ALL*
1. Learned practical information that helped understand the behavior or motivation of the opposite gender? 96.3% 100.0% 97.9%
2. Learned practical behavior that the person could DO to more effectively communicate with the opposite gender? 100.0% 100.0% 98.6%
3. If the person managed people of the other gender, learned practical behavior that the person could DO to be a more effective/supportive manager of the opposite gender? 96.3% 100% 97.7%
4. Did the person become aware of at least one behavior or understanding that he or she had coming into this seminar that may have contributed to misunderstandings and/or stress with members of the opposite sex? 92.3% 97.3% 89.6%

6. Learned practical information or behavior that he or she could use to further his or her career 83.3% 90.9% 92.6%

*The more statistically inclined will notice the discrepancy between the gender sorted numbers and the entire group. This is because some people did not report their gender. The All group was tabulated based on the total population. The gender-sorted numbers were based only on people who reported their gender.

Below are examples specific comments of Men and Women after a seminar. In looking at this information, we believe it demonstrates several things:

1) In general, people are indeed getting what we are trying to communicate.

2) Each person has his or her own specific "take aways" from the workshop. These realizations and action steps are experienced as valuable by the person.

3) One can not help but notice some of the Mars Venus differences even in the styles of answering between the men and the women.
